TAMARA ELIAS is a violinist based in Geneva. Born in Toronto, she began her violin studies at the age of six in Switzerland and soon after, was accepted as a student of Tibor Varga at the Tibor Varga Academy in Sion, Switzerland. At the age of nine, she performed a Mozart Concerto conducted by Maitre Tibor Varga at his summer festival. She pursued her studies at the age of twelve in the class of Maciej Rakowsky at the Yehudi Menuhin School in London and later, with Pierre Amoyal at the Lausanne Conservatory where she was a member of the Camerata de Lausanne.
Tamara has been invited to perform in Festivals such as the Septembre Musical de Montreux, the Portogruaro Festival, the Biarritz Festival, the Sion Festival, the Gstaad Festival and the Geneva World Peace Festival.
She has performed as a soloist under the baton of conductors such as Ivo Lipanovic, Luc Baghdassarian and Tibor Varga.
Tamara received her 'MA de Concert' in June 2010 and is currently a member of the Camerata Alma Viva and of the Sinfonietta de Lausanne.
